La Quinta Clothing derives its name from Fifth Avenue, but not the famous Fifth Avenue of Manhattan, but a lesser known Fifth Avenue in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. This culturally rich and diverse stretch of Fifth Avenue is home to many small family owned businesses, with a majority of them coming from Latin American countries.

About Us

Created by two friends from Brooklyn, NY, La Quinta Clothing was created as a way to honor our culture while at the same time expressing ourselves. Getting inspiration from the Ancient Aztec Empire, we tried to create designs that represented the bold, beautiful, and gritty attitude of both Mexico and New York City. Some first generation Mexican-Americans feel like they are neither from here nor there - so we strived to create something that would pay tribute to their heritage while also acknowledging what a huge impact growing up in NYC has had on their lives. 

The Aztecs were known for creating beautiful designs using geometric shapes. The pigeon has become symbolic and synonymous with New York City. We mixed the two and created "the Pigeon", a symbol that we feel embodies these two cultures perfectly, a little bit of urban NYC with a twist of Mexican culture.
